Getting started

Updated October 24, 2026

This guide takes you from creating your account to your first tool call from an AI, in a handful of short steps.

Before you start

Voozeo turns an API described in OpenAPI, or a set of documents, into a hosted MCP server that your AI can query. You need:

  • a Voozeo account;
  • either an OpenAPI spec (JSON or YAML, as a file or a URL) or a few documents (PDF, Word, Markdown or text);
  • an MCP-compatible AI (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code…).

On a computer, the sections are in the side navigation. On a phone (and in the Android app), a bar at the bottom of the screen gives access to "Servers", "Logs", "Plans" and "Account"; your avatar at the top right also leads to "Account". Forms and confirmations open as sheets that slide up from the bottom: swipe down, tap outside or press Escape to close them.

Create your account

Sign-up is open to everyone and costs nothing. Open the sign-up screen with "Get started" on the website, or with "No account? Create one" on the sign-in screen.

  1. Enter your email address and a password of at least 10 characters.
  2. Tick "I accept the terms of service" and "I have read the privacy policy". The "Create my account" button stays disabled until both boxes are ticked.
  3. Click "Create my account".

Voozeo sends you a confirmation link, valid for 24 hours. Open it to verify your address, then sign in. If the link has expired or never arrived, sign in and click "Resend the link". Until your address is verified you can sign in, but you cannot create a server. Your account starts on the free plan: see Quotas and plans.

Activate your account

If Voozeo opened your account for you, you receive a welcome email with a link to choose your password. The link is valid for 1 hour. If it has expired, open the sign-in screen and click "Forgot password?" to request a new one. The password must be at least 10 characters long. Your address is already verified, so you can sign in right after.

Follow the checklist

At the top of "My servers", a "Get your first server running" card lists four steps: create a server, add a source, connect an AI and receive the first call. Each step shows "Done" or "To do". The card disappears once everything is done, or with "Hide" (the choice is kept in your browser).

Start from a template

The public website has a gallery of templates (free public APIs). "Use this template" opens the sign-up screen, or "My servers" if you are signed in, with the creation dialog prefilled with the template's name. After you create the server and copy the key, the "Sources" tab opens the import by URL with the template's OpenAPI document, then the "Target API" tab opens with its base URL and authentication. When the API needs a key, the field is highlighted: enter your key and save yourself. Nothing is created or saved without your action.

Create a server

  1. On "My servers", click "Create a server". On a phone, tap the "New" button at the bottom right.
  2. Enter a name (60 characters maximum) and, optionally, a description.
  3. Click "Create".

A "Your MCP key" dialog appears. The key is a secret and is shown only once. Copy it into a password manager before clicking "I have copied my key". If you lose it, you can regenerate it (see Servers and MCP key), but AIs that are already configured will then need to be updated.

Add a source

Open the server's "Sources" tab, then use:

The server stays in draft until a source is ready, then becomes active on the first successful import. For an API, then check the tools and the target API.

Connect your AI

The "Connection" tab shows the server URL and ready-to-copy configuration blocks for each client. Paste the key you saved earlier. Each client is described in Connecting your AI.

Make a first call

Before going through the AI, try a tool in the "Test" tab (see Testing in the sandbox). Then ask your AI to use the tool. Each call then appears in the "Log" tab (see Call log).

Example

You have a shop API. You create a server named shop, import its OpenAPI file, and keep the list_products and get_order tools enabled. In the "Test" tab you run list_products, then in your AI you ask: "Which products are in stock?". The call shows up in the log with the "Success" status.
