Voozeo MCP compared with other options

Updated October 30, 2026

There are three ways to give an AI assistant access to your API or your documents through MCP: host a server yourself, code one yourself, or use a hosted service such as Voozeo MCP. The right choice depends on your constraints, and sometimes it is not Voozeo.

The two comparisons

Each page compares one alternative with Voozeo MCP on the same five points: setup, hosting, security, maintenance and cost. Each one also says when the alternative is the better choice.

How to choose quickly

  • Choose Voozeo MCP when your API is described in OpenAPI or your knowledge is in documents, it is reachable over the public internet, and you want a server running in minutes without maintaining it.
  • Choose a server you host or code yourself when you need custom logic, when your systems are not reachable from the internet, or when your rules require everything to stay on your own infrastructure.
