Give ChatGPT or Claude access to your PDFs

To give ChatGPT or Claude access to your PDFs, upload them to a Voozeo MCP server and connect that server to your AI client: the AI then searches the documents and reads the passages it needs to answer you.

The content must match the extension. Voozeo does not do optical character recognition: a scanned PDF that only contains page images fails with NO_TEXT_EXTRACTED. Use a PDF with selectable text, or convert the file to text or Markdown first.
Step 1: create a server and add the files
- On "My servers", click "Create a server" and copy the MCP key it shows. The key appears only once.
- Open the "Sources" tab and choose "Add documents".
- Select your files. They are sent one after the other, and a failure does not stop the next ones.
- Wait until each document shows "Ready". The server becomes "active" with the first ready source.
If a file fails, the message gives the cause: FILE_TOO_LARGE, UNSUPPORTED_FILE_TYPE, NO_TEXT_EXTRACTED or PLAN_LIMIT_REACHED. See errors and troubleshooting.
Step 2: connect your AI
Open the "Connection" tab, copy the block for your client and paste it where it belongs: ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor or VS Code.
Step 3: ask a question
Ask your AI a question that your documents answer, for example "How many days of leave after one year?". The AI uses two tools that Voozeo adds automatically:

Each call appears in the "Log" tab of the server, without its arguments or its content. The optional diagnostic mode, off by default, can keep passages of your documents for 30 days, with secrets masked.
Tips for good answers
- Give explicit titles to the sections of your documents.
- Write one subject per document: several small files work better than one catch-all file.
- Use your readers' words, such as "refund" and not only "reimbursement": the search matches keywords, not meaning.
- To update a document, delete it and add it again.
About privacy
Your documents are served only to the AIs connected with your key. The text is handed to the AI as data to consult, never as instructions. Voozeo runs no language model on your content and does not use it to train an AI. See documents to MCP and the FAQ.
